BEST OF LUCK EOIN

Best of luck to Eoin Carey and the Cork U20 hurlers when they play Dublin in the 2020 All Ireland Final in Nolan Park, Kilkenny on Saturday (July 10^th) with throw in at 7.15pm. It’s been a long and uncertain wait for the decider since the Munster Final win over Tipperary back in December. Dublin looking for their first title have had a competitive game recently defeating Galway in the Leinster final only two weeks ago.

This is Cork’s 3^rd All Ireland Final in a row but seeking a first title since 1998. Will Twomey was part of that successful panel and hopefully by 8.30pm Saturday night Eoin and Cork will be celebrating All Ireland success. That 1998 side provided many of the senior team that won the 1999 senior All Ireland and were part of the side that appeared in four senior finals between 2003 and 2006 winning All Ireland titles in 2004 and 2005. Here’s hoping a win Saturday will be the springboard to long overdue senior success! The game will be broadcast live on TG4, C103 will also broadcast the game live on radio.

CLUB LOTTO HITS €10,000

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €9,800 held on Monday July 5th. The numbers drawn were: 08, 13, 16 and 32. The lucky dip winner of €50 was Claire Harrington c/o online. GOLF CLASSIC

Our annual golf classic will take place this year on Friday September 10^th once more at Fermoy Golf club. More details will follow in the coming weeks, but for now it’s a date to mark off in the diary.
